Southern Junkers was created in 2010 as a small group on Facebook to gather like-minded individuals together that love antiques, vintage, collectables and repurposed items. We share our finds from estate sales, yard sales, markets, dumpsters, abandoned homes and curbs. We love the history and the stories behind our finds and share them with each other. In an effort to save abandoned treasures from the landfills, we repurpose and create items into something useful
In October of 2012 the very first Southern Junkers Market was held in Eads, TN, at Top Dog Trade Center, with over 30 amazing vendors, music, food and fun. Since then, Southern Junkers Market Events has grown by leaps and bounds, with a Spring and Fall market every year, held at the Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove, Memphis, Tn. with over 65 vendors from across the USA. And the Southern Junkers Group on Facebook has now to grown to over 20,000 members to date.
I hope that you will join me in my journey to preserve the history and the untold stories of the past from the treasures we find. May we give them a new life with purpose. Everything has a purpose and most have a repurpose.
